Worked for a few years then the mode shifter coil opened (stopped braking the tub during wash). Replaced it with factory part (the whole coil/solinoid assembly) which worked for a week. Same problem again. The mode shifter is poorly designed and G.E....

purchased to replaced previous washer/dryer. big washer with various washing settings which is nice. dryer has many setting too. cleans clothes very well.

The water level is too low. I have to literally add buckets of water to complete my wash ( I got that idea from friends doing the same thing). Reality check - if you wouldn't take a bath in 1 inch of water, what make you think the clothes will be clean...

Got at Home Depot late 2013. First a leak, then noises when the agitator is supposed to be 'quiet', then another horrible noise that was defective ball bearings, then a leak in the tub. GE and Assurant extended warranty customer service was THE WORST!...
