Performance

 

Westinghouse W4207

Inexpensive for a 42-inch LCD; relatively accurate color; solid connectivity including one HDMI, one DVI, and one PC input; picture-in-picture function.

Subpar processing via standard-def inputs; below-average off-angle and uniformity performance; no tuner included; inadequate aspect-ratio control for wide-screen standard-def sources.

The Westinghouse W4207 might not include a tuner, but for cable and satellite users who want high-def for less, it's a tremendous bargain.

Great Strong TV

 

No tuner but that allowed my to claim this as a monitor under my companies computer program. I love this TV. It has been a monitor for a few years. It has served well and still is as a gym/mame box tv now.

Many PIP options. Original purchase in 2007 and still using it with no issue

For 2016 standards it has a large bezel and is quite thick with a bit of weight to it too.

Looks great in HD and not bad in SD

 

AIT shipping is what it is. It took 7 business days but it was undamaged. FYI, this monitor is made in Mexico so that probably helps keep it from getting too beat up (a trip from China is reallly long...). Hurray for Hecho en Mexico! I'm coming from an...

I have this hooked up to a dedicated HTPC running SageTV with an HVR-1600 pulling in both cable box SD and QAM channels, piping through a 2600gt using DVI. The picture is great and with the ATI decoders, SD looks good, better than I expected. HD looks...

Hmm, I disable the blue LED so that is fine. It does seem to lose the DVI when paused sometimes but picks it back up right away when I press play or move the mouse.

Since I got this, I find it difficult to go back to the office and use the 19" crt monitor. AIT shipping was a little slow compared to typical Newegg shipping, and communications with their local hub were not productive. I wish there were another...

No dead pixels, nice sharp image, plenty bright enough (for low brightness and contrast ratings). Autosource switching and blue LED can both be disabled if you try. PC playback of TV and DVDs is better because it uses the whole screen without...

For the price? none ; Compared to other screens? No tuner, no 1080p. AIT shipping was less than impressive, although delivery was successful with no damage

What i think so far

 

Best bang for the buck, huge awesome tv for only 800 bucks, im pumped so far.

Wow much bigger then I thought it was going to be. Very nice picture, i dont even have the HD ordered through the cable company yet and im not even using an hdmi cable yet but the picture is great, i think its going to be outstanding once i get those...

Very heavy, but il deal
