Its connections impress too by including three v1.3 HDMI inputs - though it's not quite as eye-catching in feature terms as its rivals today. The only things of real note are Sharp's tru-D processing for reducing judder, and an 'Action' picture mode...

Good pictures once you've got them calibrated, space-saving design, good connectivity

The picture needs to be VERY carefully calibrated to look its best, the viewing angle is too limited, and motion resolution could be improved

Sharp Aquos LC-52X20E HD LCD TV Review

Sharp's newest 52-inch, high-end X20E series high definition 1080p LCD TV struts its stuff in its Best4Reviews test.

Easy to use and set up, Excellent picture quality, Great connectivity, Good volume without distortion

Built-in speakers quite tinny, Remote control, Picture flicker in isolated high contrast areas during fast action displaying upscalled sources

Given the price and sheer quality of both the TV’s build and its picture, the LC-52X20E is a corker. While the built-in speakers may not live up to the pictures, any self-respecting enthusiast will probably plug in a separate surround system as I did....
