Excellent black levels, over-all PQ. After lamp replacement, set looks brand new

Lamps do have to be changed - but only once every 3 or 4 years. Closed Captions do not work over component or HDMI connections. (?!)

great while it lasted

 

We had the set for about 8 months when the picture quickly became so dark that it was unwatchable. The company we bought it from sent out a technician who determined that it needed a new lamp. I was given appox. a date for the lamp to arrive (a week), ...

Great HD picture, very little glare on the screen.

Doesn't work after 8 months. JVC customer service is a terrible time waster.

I am very dissatisfied with my purchase and with JVC. I purchased the HD-56G786 on 8/16/05. It set up great, easy to get going. After about 30 days, the picture started to get increasingly darker. Never owning a big screen TV, I thought I had one of...
