great tv!

 

great tv- they delivered to my place, I was able to figure out how to hook it up without issue. Great clarity and picture. Love that it swivels

maybe i just don't know how to adjust, but when playing a movie, is very difficult to hear the tv sound

1080i not 1080p

 

Hitachi uses deceptive advertising on the specs for their TVs. "Three 1080p compatible HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) ports…" means it will play 1080p not that it is a 1080p display. "Full HD" does not mean 1080p. It just means 1900 x 1080...

This is a 1080i TV according to Hitachi technical support. I spoke with them via telephone this morning 5/15/08.

This is not a 1080p TV as listed.
