Sony Ss-m7 Floorstanding Speakers

To anyone who thinks these speakers need modifications: you need to experiment with your amplification.

I've owned the Ss7's for years (with stands). Right now am concerned with age of drivers, & considering putting a folded tweet + other mods suggested. Seems like they would be worth keeping & tweaking. Any thoughts? rk

When I worked for Sony, I bought 4 ES SS M7's and 2 of the smaller M3's, complete with the stands for each speaker. They have been great, but I purchased too much. 2 of the M7's are still brand new in the box! I've been using 2 of the M7's with 2 M3's....

I would have to say that this is now my all time favorite speaker, bar none. Not only does it make crappy recordings sound great, but they also make great recordings sound very real and very musical. Of course a sub would be nice for the missing bottom...
