For its size, a vast improvement over the normal TV sound.

Not obtrusive, adapts to work with the TV remote (i.e. Turns on with the TV and TV remote controls the sound base volume), sound is very good.

There is a system of LEDs on the front of the unit which are supposed to tell you what settings in play by lighting in various patterns, not clear at all.

The sound quality is a huge improvement on the standard TV speakers. Voices are much clearer so we can have the volume set to a lower level and hear better than we did before.

The finish of the case is just coated MDF. It looks fine now but I am concerned it will be scratched if the TV sitting on top of it is moved without extreme care.
