These Sennheisers are high-end headphones, but the sound needs a polish

Loads of detail ; Spacious soundstage

Lack punch and enthusiasm ; Disappointing dynamics ; Lots of cable noise

Paying this much for in-ears should leave you wowed, but unfortunately the Sennheiser IE 800 S are simply fine.

TEST: Sennheiser IE 800 S - Fantastiske på nesten alle måter | Lyd & Bilde

Sennheiser IE 800 S er et meget bra par ørepropper, og hadde de kostet 5.000 kroner hadde vi klart anbefalt dem. Men de koster nesten det dobbelte. Og selv om de låter til dels fabelaktig når vi snakker oppløsning, og dessuten har en fin og fyldig...

Fantastisk lyd, med glimrende oppløsning og et stort lydbilde. Sangstemmer står frem med masse luft.

Trenger forsterker for å våkne fra dvalen, men selv da kunne vi ønsket oss mer dynamikk. Det blir litt blodfattig.
