Only downsides is that your ears get kind of sweaty after wearing them for an extended amount of time, and that the headphones are louder than you think to the people around you. But these are negligible details

They're pretty big so they might look sorta goofy if you wore them around. I doubt that I would ever wear it on a bus or something. They're great for my dorm room and I will take them on airplanes and to get pumped before my sporting events

We already had a set of these headphones in the house for our oldest son and he recommended them to youngest son, who is very happy with them. Outside noise reduction is great for him, but now he can't hear us!
