With the explosion of VoIP services and home-recorded podcasts, headsets are a lot more prevalent these days. The .Audio 646 DSP from Plantronics is a behind-the-head-style microphone/headset combination

Headsets are a great investment if you're a regular VoIP user, or record podcasts or other audio programs on your Mac, and for the price, the .Audio 646 is excellent value for money. It's not perfect, but it does perform well across a range of tasks

Good for the price

I do online product demonstrations all day and this headset is perfect for fitting around my ears without messing up my faux-hawk :D

Doesn't mess up my hair! Supra-aural fits reasonably comfortably around my ears. Attractive design Sound quality isn't too bad

Irritates the tops of my ears a bit when I wear it all day Doesn't have LOTS of bass; however, I didn't expect it to for the price

One other thing of note is that the cord is short at 6 ft. long. That's a problem for me but for sitting at the computer it's fine.

Cheap. Good sound and mic quality for the price

Flimsy. Today I was getting ready to play an online game, so I moved the mic down towards my mouth and the casing around it snapped clean. While it still works, it's currently held together by double sided tape. Also, the ear cushions keep popping out....

ONLY works with PC/MAC does NOT work with PS3, Plantronics did something to disable the mic on the PS3 which is what I specifically bought this for

Not for long sessions

The comfort is really a shame. I love the volume controls, and overall audio quality.

The speakers and mic are both above average for the price. The inline volume control works directly with your computer's volume settings, which is extremely nice

Extremely uncomfortable for anything more that a couple minutes. It was giving me headaches before i heated and expanded the neckband. The pair i got had the foam completely off of the hear piece, and it is very tough to put back on
