I've been looking to buy this unit since last year. I have access to a friends TomTom GPS when I go on trips. But I wanted something smaller and at a lower cost. The little unit works just fine for my needs

No Color, but knew that when i bought it. Also bought an antenna for better reception. I thought I was having problems with reception ; But the Streetpilot takes about a minute to get a good signal. Unlike a TomTom that starts right up from the start....

first day i got the street pilot i2 ; i setup in the car with car adapter a the USB connector on the device broke ; contact garmin tech support but i wheited 2 hrs and not answer ; on the web now is showing the street pilot i2 is discontinued

Does what it's supposed to do. To/from, poi's, recalculates route, easily viewable visual comparison to your surroundings. Good price and invaluable if you travel frequently

Screen is a tad small for viewing text directions displayed at top of screen. Sometimes has problems receiving sat signals. At one point it actually took about 20 minutes to be usable. Not good when on a schedule. This tends to be after setting for 8+...

The device is good and will get you to your destination when it is operating properly

Has everything you need in a car GPS.

Scroll wheel interface takes a bit of getting used to.

Great size, does the job, easy to read in direct light, good battery life.

Screen is a tad small, wheel is too easy to spin and too hard to click, maps not always accurate.

Garmin recently updated its maps to version 8.

Small Screen, no touch screen.

Easy to use, pretty much idiot proof which is what I needed.
