HP Pavilion Elite m9550f

Though priced at $1100 (as of 8/23/09), the HP Pavilion Elite m9550f isn't as fully equipped as less-expensive rivals. And unfortunately, its performance fails to match that of many machines, regardless of their price, on our Top 10 Value PCs chart.

Excellent storage capacity ; Expansive connectivity

HP Pavilion Elite m9550f

The HP Pavilion Elite m9550f, while supposedly a refresh to the line, takes away more value than it adds.

Media hard drive bays. Tray on top of case for MP3 player, digital camera, or external hard drive.

Only 60-day Norton Internet Security subscription. Lots of crapware. Messy internal wiring. Same price as m9400t, with a lot fewer features.

HP Elite

very quite, Downfall Windows doesn't have a hibernate mode any more, only standby which stinks because you bumb the table and its up and running again.

The computer is great, plays WoW full out at 75fps, Dal is around 40fps... its very quick and has ton's of room for Fraps'n raid runs.. its not he best gaming computer but its a really good one... new egg had the lowest price out there that i found

The keyboard and mouse didn't work for me out of the box bummer, however not a big deal having a wireless set. Dido with the above comment, however i knew that buying is from the pic's not so much room in side and wires where a mess... i cleaned them...

First thing i did before power up was to open the case. I was initially surprised/disappointed at how small the case is. There is not much room to work inside but then i thought ... this is an OEM home build thats what one should expect :). Very quiet...

Vista Home premium 64 bit SP1 on this machine paired with samsung 22" over DVI is very pretty. Only had this rig for two days but really liking it. Love the litttle minor conveniences power button on top of case and great HP keyboard integration with...
