With the Sony Handycam CX220 camcorder, you get what you pay for

It costs less than $200, but pricing like that is usually comes at a cost.

Poor video quality and a minimalist set of features disappoint.

There is no indication in most of the descriptions that the accessories, normally needed to operate this video camera, are not available except by purchasing them separately! It's a question of honesty and integrity. Very manipulative marketing...

Cheap and easy to use.

Battery life is poor. Spare batteries are expensive if you buy Sony. Other brand batteries are hard to find (and may not work). A mains charge would be good as standard equipment.
