JVC GR-D33US

CCDType: Single CCD, Video Recording Format: DV Tape

Good video, especially for the price. LED headlight for low-light illumination. 16x optical zoom.

Cumbersome controls. No hot shoe. Still images are bitmaps grabbed from video, not JPEGs, and they look dreadful.

The GR-D33US is clunky to operate, but you might consider it for its good video quality and LED headlight, especially considering the price. Forget about using it for stills, though.
