used for 6 weeks, put away until May (8 months) voila! didn't work, you guessed it out of warranty. in shop waiting for backordered parts from Sharp for the entire summer. got it back in Nov. got it out again last month, and ....window adapter broken....

This unit does not turn off when the desired temperature is reached. The fan runs continuously. Sharp refuses to stand behind their product. There position is that it's perfectly fine for it to run without turning off

It cools my medium sized bedroom very quickly, even in this heat wave ; I suspect it's probably overkill for a room this size ; Off timer is very useful. Use it every night
