The LG Encore lacks a physical keyboard, so it's not quite a messaging phone. It's more like a featurephone for those who only use standard features but want to add a little flair to the experience, hence the touchscreen

Not quite a smart phone, have to push harder than on a touch sensitive screen (pressure sensitive, not touch sensitive). I like that there's no moving parts, but interface could be more logical. Kind of a pain to connect to PC via USB, but do-able.
