Kyocera Echo (Sprint)

The Kyocera Echo makes the most of its two screens with the ability to run two apps at the same time, as well as special apps that leverage both displays.

The $199 dual-screen Kyocera Echo is not just an interesting proof of concept or a gimmick; it's a dual-screen dynamo that delivers a truly unique and compelling multitasking experience that you won't find on any other handset today. If you're looking...

Kyocera Echo (Sprint)

In a world filled with interchangeable Android phones, the Kyocera Echo truly stands out. This Sprint handset breaks new ground by offering a second fold-out screen that gives the device a whopping 960 x 800 pixels of real estate, enough to view more...

Kyocera Echo (Sprint) review:

We're not stretching the truth when we say that Sprint's Kyocera Echo is one of the most unusual phones we've ever seen. Sure, it looks pretty boring when you take if out of the box, but a little exploration reveals a second display that flips out from...

The Kyocera Echo has a one-of-kind design that offers two screens and the ability to use two applications at once. Call quality is acceptable and the smartphone is quick and responsive.

The Kyocera Echo's design entails some usability quirks and we're concerned about long-term durability. The feature set is pretty average, it lacks 4G, and you'll have to wait for an upgrade beyond Froyo.

The Kyocera Echo's design offers some unique advantages, but its appeal is hampered by usability quirks and a lackluster feature set.

Kyocera Echo – Sprint (Review)

While just about every Android smart phone features a one-piece candy bar form factor, Kyocera took a risk and stepped away from the traditional comfort zone. The Echo features a 5 megapixel camera and 8 GB of internal memory, but the star of the show...

I used the term “mediocre” multiple times and in many different sections of this review. That word just about sums up the Kyocera Echo — mediocre. It has poor performance, camera quality, responsiveness, and the design is not exactly what some might...

Review: Kyocera Echo for Sprint review

Kyocera's Echo for Sprint is the first Android smartphone on the market to feature dual 3.5-inch touchscreen displays. The two can be used in tandem in a couple of ways, and offer a virtual 4.7-inch canvas for viewing apps when joined together. They...

Simul-task apps are awesome, interesting hardware design, huge "virtual" display, ships with spare battery

Poor call audio, limited simul-task support, awkward design, big and heavy, needs a spare battery

Apart from the simul-task abilities of the messaging and standard email application, the Echo is pretty standard. The large on-screen keyboard (Swype included) is great for messaging, but the stock Gmail client doesn't support simul-task's bells and...

"Buyer Beware!"

Stay away. Stay away. Stay away. This is by far the worst phone or electronic device I have ever used. The phone discontinued working after two weeks. After the phone was returned to Kyocera for 7 weeks, the customer service and technical support team...

Novel idea for a large screen smart phone in a small package

Battery is very poor. Touchscreen does not work effectively. Kyocera customer support is terrible.

"ECHO- AM I THE ONLY ONE?"

I got the first phone (I had 2) in July of 2011. I used it around a week before both screens suddenly were garbled like. I took it back to Sprint, where they replaced it for me for free under warranty with the next phone. This phone barely fell I'd say...

"As long as you don't need to TALK on your phone..."

This is NOT a good phone. My husband is a truck driver and we both have these phones. Simply put, they suck. The "android fail is very irritating when you are trying to talk on the PHONE. If all you want the phone for is to play simple games and...

Battery life is better than expected. Dual screens are cool, when they work. Music is pretty clear.

Phones reset what feels like constantly. The more advanced games will freeze the phone. Drops calls VERY often cuz it feels like reseting or it just freezes up and you have to shut off the phone and reboot. And mine will keep the SD card seated.
