Vivitar costumer service was not helpful, at the end they just said to return to new egg since they probably will replace the product faster than them.

Once recording starts none of the other buttons work. therefore you can't stop the recording without disconnecting the batteries. When that happens the video is lost.

This camera works good for me. If you don't have something to carry it in, you might want to get the carry case they offer. It's made like a cheap camera, but if taken care of it could last a while. It's a good camera, not a lot of bells and whistles...
